Alright, sports fanatics, listen up! Sharky’s Sport Bar is the place to be if you want to catch your favorite games while you are on your trip. With screens showing games from around the globe, there’s never a dull moment.
They’ve got some imported beers and local brews ready for you to taste. Don’t forget to take advantage of their happy hour from 4 to 6 pm, where you can try out some cocktails and food. Stop by on Sundays for their beer pong tournaments – it’s a great way to make the trip even better. Heads up: it gets busy, so make sure yo plan!
El Be – Tamarindo Beach Club
Imagine sipping a cocktail as you watch the sun sink below the horizon, all from the comfort of a table or sofa right on the sand. That’s what El Be offers. It’s the perfect spot for a laid-back happy hour with a backdrop that’s hard to beat.

If you’re searching for a place with a classic touch, Pacifico is your go-to. This Tamarindo staple has been around for ages and holds iconic status – it’s literally at the end of the main street!
They have happy hour for beer and cocktails, so make sure you take advantage of it. And if you love drinking mojitos, make sure you grab one there! If you are looking to party late on a Saturday night, this is likely to be your spot.
El Chiringuito
This spot has a relaxed, beach-shack vibe with tables and chairs set right on the sand. Easily found along the main street, it’s a great place to kick back.
They have happy hour from 4 PM to 6 PM, and they have deals with national beers and $4 cocktails as you catch the sunset. Also try their chiliguaro shot! It’s made with the local liquor ‘Cacique’ with spices.
Dragonfly
Okay, so Dragonfly is more of a restaurant than a bar, but I had to include it here because of their delicious drinks and their team’s willingness to get on video! Huge shoutout to Dragonfly for the amazing drinks!
Honestly, it’s a must try if you want the best of both worlds.
Where to Stay?
While in Tamarindo, I stayed at the Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort, which had 2 swimming pool areas and a beautiful lawn area to watch the sunset. If you are planning on having a stay there, I would say that it’s a great place to stay that has a pool area and other stuff to do.
